Engage Art May Mentor Meetup: Robert Barerra aka Bobby Bendito

Join us on 5/22 at noon ET for this month’s Mentor Meetup—with Robert Barerra, also known as Bobby Bendito, a Grand Rapids-based hip hop artist with a powerful testimony. Bobby’s music is praised for its positive messages, catchy beats, and powerful delivery, and he advocates for former addicts and encourages people to seek help with addiction when they need it. In addition to his music career, Bobby shares his testimony in the prison system and schools.

Hip hop has grown into a global phenomenon over the past 50 years, influencing dance, fashion, and culture as well as music. Despite this, many Christians are not familiar with Christian rap or hip hop, or they discount its value for Christians. But Bobby brings his love for rhythm and rhyme to his music ministry, infusing his songs with his difficult life story and powerful testimony.
