Fortress is about loss and faith. When we lose all that we care about as humans, where can we turn, spiritually, to continue to survive our time on Earth? This is the fourth faith-based short film that I've made and is a bit experimental. For me, the nature of my spirituality often times feels that way. With Fortress, I attempted to depict the internal struggle involved in accepting that things are out of our control sometimes. However, with eyes on the Word of God, there is always hope.

In the film, a man deals with the loss of his wife. Before she passes, she urges him to look to the Bible and put on the Armor of God. If he maintains the faith, he'll be spiritually fit to live out his life for God until he can see her again in Heaven.

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the cosmic power over this present darkness. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth. The breastplate of righteousness. The gospel of peace. Take up the shield of faith. The helmet of salvation.
