As a country music singer/songwriter, most of my original works and lyrics examine God, family, salvation, spirituality and the struggles with the virtue of temperance. I started developing this particular song from some notes I jotted down on a church bulletin during a sermon examining the book of Matthew. Matthew, was an amazing strong disciple of God. He journeyed near and far to tell mothers, fathers, children, everyone the gospel of Christ. With this in mind, I developed the chorus of this ballad through the eyes of a Mom. I felt it would help the listener "visualize" how sin changes our relationships with one another and with Christ.

I based my song, "The Preacher Man" on the Christian ministers of the gospel in my small coastal community. These ministers wrap themselves in the Armor of God every day and fight the war against sin. I hope my song sends a message of hope to those who are lost or undecided. I hope the lyrics and melody resound to all mankind that God will never give up on his flock or the war against sin. More importantly, He is always near to fight for us and lead us to salvation.
