Artist bio

Hello! My name is Lale. I am 20. Painting and drawing have been my hobbies since childhood. I have always wanted to spend much time on it, although I had some obstacles preventing me to realize my dreams. I believe in the future I can realize them even though I have already chosen a different career path.

Artist Statement

This artwork is about a person trying to find his place in the vast desert. The footprints on the left represent that the person is in the right direction, as he already managed to climb up and see the bright sky. Although the bright sky is unattainable, not anyone can even see that. The ones who managed to see that are the sages/total believers only. The Red color of the desert represents it's being enormous and unable to be controlled. Neon Green lightning represents the feeling of tranquility after a person is walking in his way. And since there is no finish point established in the painting - it means that the journey is destiny. It is meaning the vigor of being in the present, silent and empty. Not forcing the things on their way-thus, going with the flow, law of nature, the order in the orderless nature.

How it fits into contest

Since there is no finish point established in the painting - it means that the journey is destiny. The vigor of being in the present, silent and empty assists us to choose the right path of righteousness. Not forcing the things on their way-thus, going with the flow, not oppressing and being oppressor, but believing the order in the orderless nature.
