I spent my childhood staring into my grandmother's paintings, finally when I was ten years old she decided to share her world with me. I have been painting ever since. I love to get out of my comfort zone and attempt paintings that do not come naturally to me, much like painting the human body does not. However, taking my time with each brush stroke to create the perfect detail provides a much needed peace in the midst of chaotic life. Painting is already something that provides an outlet for my son and myself, we sit together in the floor painting and laughing together. His always come out better than mine, of course. Painting has always been a huge part of my life, I furthered my techniques in college. It guided my painting focus on the small details of life, moments often missed. That is what I love capturing.
