Painting with shades of red always takes me to a place of love, sacrifice, and redemption. A place that God resides in. He said in His Word, “Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.” Luke 21:28. To me, redemption can be summarized in two words: GOD WILL. God is our Redeemer and will do so in every area of our lives. So because of his sacrifice the blood washes us to reveal a beautiful story of redemption. The gold moments in the piece represent glory & majesty. My creative process is a moment of worship. As I brush the colors across the canvas I am thinking about what they mean and how they connect. My work is based on spirituality and I think it’s important that each piece tells a story.
Ephesians 6: 10-20 sets the atmosphere to prepare for battle, be alert and prayerful. It gives us instructions to put on the full armor of God and because of that we can face anything that is presented to us! It is a call to be bold & fearless in the Lord. “Redemption” represents that courageous spirit that comes from God. Because God has redeemed us from the prowl of the enemy we have the strength & power to stand against his strategies.
