As an interdisciplinary artist, Jasmine White weaves together her work as a therapist, writer, actress and activist. In artistry and in wounded healing, Jasmine’s work is generated from her natural inclination to creatively advocate for the voiceless through the art of storytelling.Jasmine received her undergraduate degree in Media & Performing Arts from the Savannah College of Art & Design where she developed her skills as a theater and film artist. Following her time at SCAD, Jasmine went on to work professionally as an actress in television, film and theater.Recently, Jasmine completed her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy at Fuller Theological Seminary after spending a year studying Theology and the Arts with a focus on film. During her time at Fuller Jasmine was invited to become a Fujimura Fellow. As a fellow under the guidance of Mako Fujimura, Jasmine partners with artists across mediums working to integrate art, faith and beauty in an effort to uplift culture. Additionally, Jasmine is a part of Illumine Playback Theatre troupe; a form of improvisational theatre that takes the stories of audience members’ lives and honors them by playing them back on stage.Jasmine resides in the Los Angeles area with her husband and their three children where she balances her work as a marriage and family therapist alongside making music, writing scripts, fighting for social justice, and church planting.
