Bible Cluster featuring Steve A. Prince | August

Join us for this month’s Engage Art Bible Cluster featuring Steve A. Prince, whose work “Native Tongue​”​ received Honorable Mention in the 2026 Engage Art Contest.

Facilitated by Ranika Chaney, this gathering will explore how Steve’s artwork brings together Scripture, personal memory, cultural history, and a call toward compassion, peace, and communal restoration.

Inspired by 1 Peter 3:8–9, “Native Tongue” reflects on unity, humility, and the power of responding to hostility with blessing rather than retaliation. Steve’s work also draws from the New Orleans Jazz Funeral tradition, moving from the mournful Dirge, where grief and injustice are acknowledged, toward the celebratory Second Line, which points to healing, hope, and new life.
