Artist bio

I am a Christian creative, software engineer, and youth-focused storyteller with a deep passion for the Bible and its relevance to everyday life. Much of my work centers on using film, digital media, and technology to communicate biblical identity, purpose, and discipleship—especially to teenagers and young adults navigating cultural pressure and confusion. I have been involved in social service and faith-based projects with children and youth, and I believe creative storytelling is a powerful tool for planting and nurturing gospel-centered values in this generation.

Artist Statement

Our artwork is a short narrative film titled “Who Are You?”, created to explore the theme of identity among teenagers. The story follows two young people at a transitional moment in their lives—having just graduated and standing at the edge of adulthood. Through a simple, everyday setting and natural conversation, the film examines how identity is often shaped by external influences such as success, money, social expectations, popular culture, and public figures, rather than by deeper values and purpose.

Our creative process was intentionally minimal and story-driven. We chose a familiar environment and relatable dialogue to help the audience see themselves in the characters. Rather than preaching or providing direct answers, the film invites reflection by allowing the conversation to unfold organically. Silence, pacing, and subtle emotional cues were carefully used to create space for thought, while music and visual framing were added to support the emotional turning point where the idea of true identity is revealed.

The project was developed with teenagers in mind, aiming to communicate a timeless message in a language they understand. At its core, the film encourages young people to pause, question the narratives they have accepted, and consider building their identity on a solid foundation rooted in truth, purpose, and meaning rather than temporary trends.

How it fits into contest

Several Scripture passages shaped both the heart and direction of this artwork, each addressing the question of identity, value, and purpose. Jesus’ question, “What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul?” (Mark 8:36) challenges the idea that success, recognition, or material achievement can define a person’s worth. This tension is central to Who Are You?, where the characters wrestle with future ambitions while overlooking the deeper question of who they are becoming.

The film is also inspired by the call to seek first the Kingdom of God (Matthew 6:33). This principle reframes identity, shifting focus away from chasing external validation toward aligning one’s life with what truly matters. In the story, this shift happens quietly through conversation and reflection rather than instruction, mirroring how understanding often unfolds in real life.

Another key influence is the reminder that believers are described as a chosen people, a royal priesthood (1 Peter 2:9). This speaks to inherent value and calling—identity given, not achieved. Similarly, the Scripture that says to those who believe in Him, He gave the right to become children of God (John 1:12) reinforces the idea that identity is rooted in relationship, not performance.

Together, these passages inform the film’s message: identity is not something to be constructed from trends, pressure, or success, but something to be discovered in truth. The artwork invites viewers, especially young people, to pause, reflect, and consider building their lives on a foundation that gives lasting meaning rather than temporary gain (Matthew 7:24–27).

I won Again, Lady and gentlemen, give it up for your disputed champion of the world. Daniel.

Calm down.

I know this is your first time experiencing a streak of luck Like this

Obviously

Well, for your information, like this is not gonna stop as I enter university. Like this, my five, five GPA is gonna be like, seriously,

Calm down, have you even seen your WAEC results?

And with a touch of finesse.

Danny the narcissist we heard you. Calm down.

Guys you know the best thing that can happen now ?

What ?

Food.

You too much like food.

But wait sam , for such a quiet person as you .
you should not have a busy mouth when it comes to food and talking about food, where's Auntie Laura?

She is here

Hi Auntie Laura,

Sam sam, you and food you will never change .

Yes talking about the future , What's next for you guys?

Sam?

Sam, well, we all know that school is obviously the next step, and being the geek that you guys call me. I want to become an engineer, build things, make money.

Hmmm!

What about you? Sofia, for me, my parents are forcing me to become a doctor. I haven't

really figured it out for myself yet.

Legend of the seeker.

See all these are actually great ambitions, but have you ever ask your self who you are?

Like who you really are ?

What do you mean? I'm someone, and I'm so prepared to be a doctor. Maybe.

Why? Okay, but what if these things didn't define you, like, you know, what if you couldn't be an engineer or a doctor? What if everything you had was taken away from him? Who would you be there?

Be successful? You're right. That's important. That's not the most important.

You see, our identity, who we truly are, should be found in something that never changes. You know, the world can take away our careers, our possessions, or even our status, but there's one thing that they can never take away from us, and which is what our identity in God. You know, there's an article I actually wrote for my blog. I would like to share it with you guys, so please just listen. You see, the Bible says in Genesis one, verse 27 that we are made in the image of God. That means our what isn't based on what we do or what we have, but who we are in Him. Think about it. God's love for us doesn't change and neither does our identity in him. You know you're more than what you do or what you achieve, your God's beloved child, and that's the most important identity you can ever have. You know it's easy to let these things define us. It's easy like fashion, the latest trends, or even what movie stars and entertainers say is important. It's like we are constantly being told what we should do, who we should be, or what we should even care about. But if we are not careful, we can end up chasing after things that don't really matter, and we lose sight of who God has made us to be when we let those things shape our identity, we have been in our lives on shaky ground too, all this fame fashion or even other people's opinions can change, but God doesn't change. Seriously, to be very honest with you guys, your true identity is found in God, not in the case of this world. So discover who you are.

I have a question

Now that we have found that our Identity is in Christ.

How can we go about it ?

That's a very good question.
