A spoken word describing God's existence in moments of pain, while also revealing that as believers, we actually go through very difficult moments.
My artist work write always begins with prayer... I wanted the artistic work to be abstract - which I never really do, allowing color to express emotion.
In our darkest moments, when we seek the Lord, we find that He dissolves the pain. God is not absent in our times of trouble. The scripture corresponding to this is Psalm 46:1

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1
My soul is in pain
And I am trying to climb out
But my sight for escapes
Are unable to be found
In this dungeon
Bars of anger, loneliness, anguish
Anxiety and depression
God, why am I here
Vision can’t be sketched
This automaticity of bellowing disconsolation
Has become the surrogate
Of my fears
I have lost charge
Demoted to just following the motions
Almost drownin’
after this perseverance of floatin’
And then
I hear it
As a Siren luring me in to freedom
opposed to death
A gentle tap on notes of a symphony
Not completed yet
Because the composer is awaiting the next scene
Strings
Plucked delicately
Fingering the emotions of my heart
As the fresh wind and breath of life
Blows to develop now music
In my soul
This crescendo
Brings inner drum beats
To an outer body expression
A foot tap
A finger snap
A waved hand
And an Amen
I see it
An array of elegant brush strokes
Intertwined to convey
HOPE
Auto tuning my chaotic and catastrophic
Emotional melody
Sung off key
This heavy metal of grief and frustration
Has become settled
By grace
Your love has kept my soul from wandering
Into that deep dark
Dark deep
Deep dark
Place
which extinguishes
the light of possibility and exit routes
Now
My delight is riding on the
Rainbow of your promise
Under the shadow of
Shalom incarnate
Embraced
As the Beauty of Holiness draws near
in response
I am honored
Bowed
Before victory in the flesh
Jehovah Nissi
Pillar of Fire
Bishop of my Soul
and cemented strength
My Abba
You have trusted me with this trial
And I can testify now
That I know
You’d never Bring me this far to leave me
