Victorious King

This sculpture is my humble attempt to express the divine nature of Jesus Christ. The nature of His heart cannot be expressed with its full power and reality, but I have attempted to show the world His magnificence, glory, kindness, and love through my work. The Holy Spirit impresses on my heart to create something and I yield. The process starts by building an armature which is a wire-like skeleton, and then creating the gesture and balance of the piece. I then refine the shapes and bring the entire sculpture into a natural flow and design.

The Victorious King sculpture was created to encourage God’s people that spiritual warfare is taking up the truth, The Word of God/Sword of the Spirit. We are taking up the WORD that became flesh and dwelt among us. The helmet of salvation, breastplate of righteousness, belt of truth and shield of faith are all found in Christ and in HIS Victory! Colossians 2:15 states, “And having disarmed the powers and authorities, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.” One aspect of my sculpture is the lion with his paws crushing a serpent. This represents Jesus Christ’s final victory over the enemy.
