ARTIST PROFILE
Courtney Moody is a dancer, poet, and author, who believes God has made us each creative in His image. She is currently a principal artist with the Brandon Ballet, and has performed roles such as the Sugarplum Fairy in “The Nutcracker,” Myrta in "Giselle," and the Pas de Trois in Auguste Bournonville’s “Le Conservatoire,” as well as performing with other organizations as a guest artist. She is also an Honor Medallion Graduate from the University of Central Florida with a B.A. in creative writing. In 2021, her poem "In Defense of the Fur" was 2nd Honorable Mention for The Margo Award from the National Federation of State Poetry Societies. Her poetry can be found in YellowJacket Press’ "Chasing Light" and Capsule Stories’ "Starry Nights," and her prose can be found in Bridge Eight and Propertius Press’ "Draw Down the Moon."
