Duenchayphoochana Phooprasert

Bio

She is a Thai visual artist whose practice explores the poetic relationship between soil, memory, and transformation. She holds a BFA and MFA in Painting from Silpakorn University and is currently pursuing a PhD in Visual Arts under a Double Degree Program with Tokyo University of the Arts, Japan. Her work has been shown internationally, including the Art Venture Ehime Festival (Japan, 2025), the Matter: Matter Exhibition at 333 Gallery (Bangkok, 2024), and the International Art Workshop in Azerbaijan (2025). She has received several national and international recognitions, such as the Silver Medal at the National Exhibition of Art (Thailand) and the Thai Art to USA Award (2022). Her current research focuses on soil as a living archive, examining its fragility, transformation, and connection to memory.
