Jamie Hansen began working in watercolors as an exchange student in Germany in 2002. Watercolor was a quick and portable medium that she used to record her experiences and travels. She graduated the following year with a Batchelor of Fine Arts and worked for fifteen years in graphic design, e-commerce, and product development.

She started her first Etsy shop in 2010. She sells personalized coats of arms, drawn by hand with ink and watercolor. She has sold hundreds of artworks, and each work strives to celebrate a unique love story and family. She is active at Central Presbyterian Church and lives in Anderson, SC with her husband, son, and two friendly cats.
