Bio

Though I was born in Texas, I moved overseas at a young age. The beautiful, dramatic, tropical archipelago of Indonesia quickly became my home. I grew up in the heart of the capital city, Jakarta. It is in the beautiful, chaotic city that I learned to hate bugs, distrust monkeys, see the needs of people, and cope with horrible smells. The beach was never far away, and the lapping waves and humid breeze will always beckon me to come back. I have since transplanted myself back into the US. I fell in love with a Texas-boy, and we are currently raising three rascally, wild, beautiful children. I am a member and writer with Art House Dallas, founder of a nonprofit called Undercurrents Ministries, podcast show co-host, and I have a decade of nursing under my belt. My areas of expertise include General Pediatrics, Pediatric Endocrinology, Pediatric Rheumatology, Pediatric Medical Psychiatry, and Case Management.
