I first created the art piece by drawing it on paper. Then I transferred it to a digital art app to create the details.
The art piece first came about by playing with lines. I didn't know what I wanted to surround her face with until I started to see an outline of an orca whale. Around the same time of this creative process of art, God was reminding me of the things I used to love as a child. Orca whales being one of those things I loved as a child, so I was happy to create them through the artwork. As a child, I always wanted to swim with orcas. Everything in the piece came together nicely as God walked me through it.
In Ezekiel 47 a man guides Ezekiel through every inch of the Temple.
He took Ezekiel to water that flowed under the temple facing the east. The verse that popped out to me in Ezekiel 47 was verse 9 "Swarms of living creatures will live wherever the river flows. There will be a large number of fish, because this water flows there and makes the salt water fresh; so where the river flows everything will live." Then in Revelation 22:1 The angel takes John to the rivers of living water that flows from the throne of God and of the Lamb. Because Jesus said in John 7:37 ..."Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them."
So, one day I will swim with God's Creation in the rivers of living water.
God reminded me of what he put on my heart as a child and to not stop loving those things as an adult.
