Naming Day

Marianne Lettieri creates visual art that explores individual and cultural values associated with everyday objects and discarded materials. She presents these artifacts in new configurations, reinforcing the interconnectedness of people and communities through time. Her solo exhibitions include "Never Ending Thread" at San Jose Museum of Quilts and Textiles, "Reflections" at San Francisco Museum of Craft and Design, "Strings Attached" at Monterey Peninsula College, "House/Work" at Peninsula Museum of Art; and "Evidence of Life" at Doug Adams Gallery in the Badé Archeology Museum. She has an M.F.A. in Spatial Arts from San Jose State University and a B.F.A. in Drawing and Printmaking from the University of Florida. She received the 2017 Artist Laureate award from SVCreates for achievement in the arts and contribution to the cultural life of Silicon Valley.
