Artist Statement

The work depicts four women dancing in a circle and in the center a child who is happy to see them dancing with colorful kites flying around. The new project focuses on the lightness of freedom, which brings happiness to the spirit. This idea is represented by a female figure with voluminous hair gathered in the wind, decorated in various ways, both with flowers and with decorations reminiscent of Africanism. Her face resembles feline tracery, and she displays a sweet, youthful smile. Her soft, slender body is covered in a princely dress with a low-cut neckline, a display of femininity, long and gala-like, always in motion, moved by the wind.

How it fits into contest

In the Bible, dance is a way to express praise and gratitude to God, a unity of body, mind and spirit (Psalm 149, Psalm 150).
There's no single exact verse that literally describes "women dancing with a child in the center," but the concept is found in the union of:
Praise and Dance: To celebrate God's intervention.
Children: As a sign of divine promise and blessing.
Women: As witnesses of faith and bearers of joy and salvation, anticipating the new life brought by Christ.
