Artist Statement

David and Goliath is a famous biblical story from 1 Samuel about a young, small shepherd boy, David, who defeats the giant Philistine warrior, Goliath, using only a slingshot and stones, symbolizing faith, courage, and the triumph of the underdog over overwhelming odds.

How it fits into contest

2 Timothy 1:7 is represented by David having not a spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind to volunteer for this battle.
