"I AM" is a commissioned piece and my client gave me free reign to create something that represented Jesus. The only thing she asked that I include is a Lion.

The process was CHALLENGING to say the least. It took about 6 months to come to a decision on WHAT to paint. My client was wonderful in that she gave me the TIME and the SPACE to create something special.

Once we came to a conclusion on what to paint, it took about 4 additional months to complete.

I really felt like there was a spiritual battle that I was fighting... discouragement, delays, etc... I also had to study techniques (like... "how to paint water") as I painted.

BUT the LORD prevailed and helped me to paint the best painting I've ever painted.

This piece contains so much representation of scripture. I feel like it connects to the artwork because it inspired each image. I've included the scriptures represented here:

Honestly, the Holy Spirit and Him alone. He helped me TREMENDOUSLY. His guidance and His vision... It was all Him.
