I always try to point the way to JESUS CHRIST with my artwork. We are made in His image and have a natural desire to create. My art is meant to tell a story when viewing it that will draw you into the scriptures and bring about an internal reflection of how you are living your life…. Have you allowed the scriptures to mold you more into His image yet? The painting is titled Creation and reflects the fact the He created us in our mothers womb and is constantly causing our minds and hearts to become more like Him. The sculptured old lady is truly throwing herself on the cross of Christ and the sculptured old man is choosing to pick up his cross and follow Jesus daily. Together they are a complete picture of what it means to be absolutely surrendered to your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This is my desired attempt in this art series submission, to get you to choose to become conformed to His Image!

Absolute Surrender
“So then, my friends, because of God's great mercy to us I appeal to you: Offer yourselves as a living sacrifice to God, dedicated to His service and pleasing to Him. This is the true worship that you should offer. Do not conform yourselves to the standards of this world, but let God transform you inwardly by a complete change of your mind. Then you will be able to know the will of God—what is good and is pleasing to Him and is perfect.” Romans 12:1-2
I am created by God and in His image and choose to allow His word to transform my mind and heart “Creation”, the painting represents the transformation of the heart and mind.
“Crucified” the old lady is me as I throw myself on His cross crucifying my flesh so that it is no longer I that lives but it is Christ who lives within me.
“Take up my cross” says that I am thankful for His sacrifice and surrender to His will completely by taking up my cross daily. This series represents absolute surrender through the transforming Word of God, Romans 12:1-2
