My delight and talent in painting is a gift from God and I am thankful. Painting gives me so much joy! I love painting flowers of all kinds and colors. I paint for joy - not perfection or precison. I sign my paintings "Mima" because that is what my granchildren call me. Mixing my own colors and putting brush to paper is always an adventure. I do not always have an idea of what I will paint. Even when I plan to paint something, it usually ends up being something else. Making a 'mistake' is not in my vocabulary - I just change direction and create something else. We are all 'creators' since we are made in God's image and He is the original Creator.

This is a 4x6 watercolor on paper and matted for a 5x7 frame.
I chose this painting because it is a lovely garden that is seasonal. It will wither in the cold and appear dead but then will be reborn when the weather warms every year. God's love for us is always there, even when we are having a hard time and may not deserve it, we know there will always be a spring. Trusting in the word of God will bring the spring back into our lives.
