Artist Statement

In this piece, I wanted to combine my love for landscapes with one of the basic principles of strengthening our faith in the act of going to church.

How it fits into contest

The spiritual battle that confronts us in everyday life is within our minds and heart. Knowledge of the word of God, and the truest of belief in it, produces a faith that allows us to conquer all obstacles set before us. By exposing ourselves to teaching and preaching accompanied with friends of like mind, our faith increases. Through faith, we shall overcome.
