I painted this live during a worship night at my church. When I first started thinking about what to paint, I was drawing a blank. I didn't want this painting to be for the audience. I didn't want this painting for me. I wanted to create something that would be a pleasing sacrifice of praise to my Lord. Something that would be for Him. That's when my Lord reminded me of the worship in heaven scene from the book of Revelation in the Bible. In heaven, heavenly hosts surrounding his throne, mighty cherubims continuously cry out, " Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord Almighty, who was, who is and is to come". At their sound, the whole heaven joins Him in worship. I wanted our worship to be in unison with the heavenly song of worship, and the inspiration for this painting was born. The painting features a printed copy of Revelation chapter 4. It also features the words of the cherubim- "Holy, Holy,Holy", etched in it to look like the words were made of beaten pure gold. The words are surrounded by two cherubim wings. Above the wings, there are many heavenly creatures - angels worshiping God. Below the cherubim wings are the sun, moon, earth, Saturn, and the stars, symbolizing that all creations worship the crucified and risen LORD. Below the planets are the waves and ocean, split apart and people standing on dry land worshiping God by the cross. The cross made the way. There is living water and great annointing pouring from heaven onto the people as they worship Him. Just as the Red Sea parted to make way for the Isrealites, Jesus, through the cross, made way for real relationships with God most high. The LORD is looking for those who
