My artwork shows me capturing the beauty of looking ahead toward new horizons and unchartered waters while holding on to the bible/ the word of God/Sword of the Spirit. The color blue was chosen for the model's jacket because it biblically represents the heavens and the word of God (Exodus 24:10) and the red dress represents the blood of Christ which was shed and covers our sins (Colossians 1:20).

My artwork focuses on the importance of the Word of God and specifically reflects the latter part of Ephesians 6:17 which states, "and grasp the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God" (Aramaic Bible in Plain English).

I credit my wife Roshelle Sparman-Small for modelling in the picture. Her devotion to worship and desire to serve God in part inspired the submission by reminding me, that as a believer our actions and outlook towards life should be led by the word of God.
