The words that are included in this drawing is the scriptures of Ephesians 6:10-20. The man in armor is kneeling before God on the bible which is actually open on the page where those scriptures are. I wanted to make this as realistic as possible. The blood represents the blood shed for you and me so that our sins are forgiven. Each part of the drawing represents different scriptures. The mans helmet includes the verse about the Helmet of Salvation, the body includes the verse about the whole Armor of God, the shoes includes the verse about the preparation of the gospel of peace, the shield includes the verse about the Shield of Faith, the sword includes the verse about the Sword of the Spirit, the Lords face and neck includes the verse about being strong in the Lord and in the power of his might, the crown of thorns includes the verse about wickedness in high places, the blood along with the outside edge of the bible says Ephesians 6:10-20 and the background includes all of the verses 10-20. (KJV)
I truly believe that this idea was given to me by the Lord himself. I dreamed about this picture over and over and I had no idea why or what it meant. One day when I was online, I seen the Engage advertisement so I read about it and right when I read about it I realized what that dream meant. That dream was the drawing he wanted me to do for this. This artwork means the world to me and every time I talk about it or show it to others I get chill bumps and I feel the Holy Spirit on me as I am full of excitement. The ones I have shown this to, such as family, right when they look at it they feel the same thing! I really hope this drawing and the use of the scriptures within the picture reaches out to others and I hope they will come to realize and understand the true meaning of what God has done for us so that we could live and be forgiven of our sins.
