Born and raised in the art capital of New York City, I’ve always been surrounded by the creative energy that fuels expression and storytelling. Over the years, my journey as an artist has taken me far beyond the city streets—across countries and communities—where I’ve had the opportunity to paint portraits and murals that celebrate people, culture, and faith.
My work focuses on portraits and illustrations that bring beauty and color to rural and urban spaces alike. The themes I explore are multifaceted, reflecting the diversity of life and spirit—ranging from ethnicity and culture to animals, Bible-inspired narratives, expressive lettering, and abstract textures. Each piece aims to connect viewers to something familiar yet transcendent.
I currently serve as the Director of ArtServe International, an arts ministry based in Quito, Ecuador, where we use art to inspire and empower youth in low-income and vulnerable inner-city communities. Through art, I believe we can not only transform spaces, but also hearts—reminding people of their worth and the beauty that exists in their stories.
"And walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God." Ephesians 5:2
This verse calls us to live a life that gives off the aroma of Christ’s love. When Paul speaks of a “fragrant offering,” he is drawing from the Old Testament image of sacrifices that pleased God—not because of the smell of burning incense or animals, but because they represented hearts surrendered in obedience. In the same way, our lives become a sweet fragrance to God when we imitate Jesus’ self-giving love.
Being a “fragrant offering” means choosing love when it costs us something—serving others without recognition, forgiving when it’s hard, and giving of ourselves for the good of others. These acts of love rise to God as worship. Every sacrifice made out of love becomes a reflection of Christ’s ultimate offering on the cross.
May our words, actions, and attitudes carry the scent of Christ—pleasing to God, drawing others closer to His heart.
