Artist Statement

The exhortation to strengthen oneself in the Lord and the power of his strength suggests the first aspect of combat readiness. This preparation is presented as necessary since the future confrontation will not be fought against of blood and flesh, that is, of an enemy equal to the warrior ruled by the author of the epistle, but against one who has powers to whom only
the power of the Lord's power can be opposed. So we have to deal with a
specific encouragement for the training phase which is meant to physically strengthen,
mentally, and morally the fighter.
The invitation to put on God's armor suggests another aspect of battle preparation. The armor is special, it belongs to God. The particularity of this armor aims at a necessary quality that corresponds to it to a certain situation, in the perspective of a happy ending for those who wear it: to stand upright before the devices of the devil.
Indicating the identity of the enemy to be confronted is also part of it from combat training. This is the devil and those like him, there are the wicked, the rulers, the rulers of this world of darkness, the evil spirits in the air.
Indication of the nature of the struggle to be fought, a melee (v. 12)
suggests another aspect of training. The fighter needs to know
the nature of the struggle he has to fight. Indication of the moment of the fight: the bad day, more indeterminate
Verses 14-20 assume the transition from preparation to battle. This situation of struggle is not expressed, in
the terms of an effective confrontation.
I chose the spoon as a connection between God and man, between life and death. The position of the spoon is in the form of a helmet, as a protection, which starts from the top of the cross. Everything is enveloped in light and blessed for our defense against evil, darkness.
The bread and blood of God are the weapons against evil.

How it fits into contest

The invitation to put on God's armor suggests another aspect of battle readiness. The armor is special, it belongs to God. The particularity of this armor aims at a necessary quality that corresponds to it to a certain situation, in the perspective of a happy ending for those who wear it: to stand upright before the devices of the devil. I personified the holy spoon with the power of armor.
In v 10-13 the presented aspects could be grouped in what would be he could call it preparation for battle. We note in this regard that:
1. The exhortation to strengthen oneself in the Lord and in the power of his strength suggests the first aspect of combat readiness. This preparation is presented as absolutely necessary since the future confrontation will not be fought against of blood and flesh, that is, of an enemy equal to the warrior ruled by the author of the epistle, but against one who has powers to whom only the power of the Lord's power can be opposed. So we have to deal with a specific urge for the training phase which is meant to physically strengthen, mentally, and morally the fighter.
In order to fight, you must be strengthened, and through Holy Communion, we become united with God.
