My work reflects on hardships and bravery of women during trying times but also on the general condition of female suffering. The universal themes are displacement, loneliness, labor pains and more.

Reflecting on Ephesians 6:10-20, I could not ignore meditation on the current war crisis in Ukraine and a call to strength and bravery in the face of aggression. Although the war is real and unimaginably cruel, it extends beyond the battle fields and into spiritual realm.

I dedicate this artwork to my two darling boys.
