Acrylic with natural objects as underlay
Based upon the Scripture: The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. And the LORD God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die." Genesis 2:15-17
We ate the forbidden fruit and the Garden of delight turned dark, somber, and deathly pale. I have chosen pale, greyish colors to illustrate the somber tone of the Garden scene. The bloom is off the rose. The twice-bitten fruit (with Adam and Eve’s teeth marks on it) lies discarded in the grass. As CS Lewis said, “To walk out of his will is to walk into nowhere”.
