I am very active in our church where we live. I teach a smocking class to make baby gowns for infants who pass away too soon. It is a wonderful mission to help the parents heal from such a loss.

Artist Statement

This art is an abstract piece on canvas. I went in a different direction that my usual realistic work. It was created completely from an emotional reaction to the subject.

How it fits into contest

This painting represents the phases of my life. The love, the loss, the achievements and most of all, the longevity of a strong marriage. Marriage needs the full armor of God; truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation and the sword of the spirit to endure the evil in the world.
