Artist Statement

This piece was inspired by the basic elements of my faith... knowing, understanding and believing the word of God, displaying through my actions my christian faith and keeping my eyes on God. It may seem cartoonish, but, the point does come across.

How it fits into contest

The spiritual battle that confronts us in everyday life is within our minds and heart. Knowledge of the word of God, and the truest of belief in it, produces a faith that allows us to conquer all obstacles set before us. Through faith, we shall overcome.
