This painting was painted live at a Gospel Music festival. Most of my artwork is done in a studio setting so this one was a little different for me. A little out of my comfort zone and a little more free flowing. I went in with an idea to paint feet standing on a bible. The lights were turned off during the musical festival so I couldn't really tell what colours I was using while painting. I was surprised at the vibrancy of the painting when they turned the lights back on after the music festival. This painting still fits in to my other body of work as it reveals God's nature!
I feel this painting fits Ephesians 6:13 and Ephesians 6:15. Verse 13 Therefore put on the full armour of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything to stand.Stand firm then..15..with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.
Our feet standing on God's word fitted with the readiness that comes from the Gospel of peace.
The definition of standing is to remain firm, steadfast; to take up or maintain position.
In a world of doubt and uncertainty we have the promises of God to stand on.
