My work is an abstract and materic art representation, made in relation to a personal introspection during the time and space that we are living this pandemic in the whole world.
In the process of my work I have used acrylic paint on canvas and also corn hairs to make the noise texture, I have used them because corn is a representation of our Mayan and Guatemalan roots and my painting has this essence.
My painting it is a sample of the battle that is fought spiritually, mentally and emotionally during this time, where uncertainty and fear have become present and this is the moment that I have in mind that as a daughter of God I must strengthen myself in him, and get dress in armor to stand firm against any threat from the devil. In Ephesians 6: 10-20 he tells us that our fight or battle is against the rulers of darkness of this century, against spiritual hosts of evil in the celestial regions, which we cannot physically see and therefore I must be firm in the bad day, bearing in mind his truth, justice, the gospel of peace, faith, the helmet of salvation and his word. This is the armor represented on the canvas through the colors in the middle of the darkness and the noise that may be or exist due to the threats of the enemy, keeping me firm in the battle.
