My name is Chris-Ann Johnson, I am from Jamaica and I am a praise dancer. I have been ministering through dance for two years at the Church of God of Prophecy where I am a member; I am also currently studying Chemistry at the University of the West Indies Jamaica.

Artist Statement

Over the years, I have been ministering to several songs of similar nature, depicting the defense of God over His people. Considering the theme of warfare, I choreograph the dance in collaboration with a film director to bring out the imagery of battle.

How it fits into contest

As Ephesians 6:10-20 speaks about the armor of God, I was carful to include the physical representation of some of these armor, namely the shield of faith, which "quench the fiery darts of the wicked" Ephesians 6:16. Other representation of weapons were also use to capture the idea of a battle being waged. The performance also extracted imagery from 2 Corinthians 10:4, which depicts a warfare that pulls down strongholds.
