The story of David and Goliath has encouraged people with giants in their lives. Children enjoy the historical story of a boy facing a giant. We know that God gave the power for the fatal blow. This is a story of faith, courage and victory. It is one of my personal favorites.

Spiritual Battle is not new to our generation, since the fall of man it has been the war against God and Satan. I read Ephesians 6:10-20 and I see the physical scene of David and Goliath. It is such a perfect example of forces of evil who defame the name of God. We have to remember that Jesus said, "It is finished," and "All power has been given to me, therefore, go ye." We were missionaries and had many kinds of spiritual battles that came in many forms; sickness, financial, political and conflicts warring within and without. Problems seem gigantic, but victory is in the name of Jesus. I struggled with coming up with imagery for this verse. I made others sketches, but this is one that I believe is acceptable for children and adults. Personally I took no joy in drawing devilish figures or demonic images. Scripture has given us examples in the stories.

I am a mural painter both indoor and outdoor. This I began several years ago to encourage others and paint scenes or peaceful ideas that express my Christian heart.
