ANGELS WATCHING OVER HER HEART' is the result of what transcended after a long period of spiritual battle praying for my daughter's hardened and depressed teenage heart.
After several months of spiritual battle fighting to cast out the depression and isolation that was set upon her heart I was exhausted! I had reached a point of desperation. So I reached for my faithful forever friend, art, and painted in my small watercolor journal an image that I believed was spiritually inspired.
The image that was stuck in my mind for days was one of my daughter's heart, surrounded by six strong angels holding a staff with the 'Lords Fire', fighting against the spiritual forces of evil that were trying to steal my her joy and prevent her to become the woman that God had created her to be.
How it fits into contest

...all kinds of prayers..I strongly believe the original drawing in my watercolor journal was a prophetic one and that the act of painting it was 'my kind of prayer!
'ANGELS WATCHING OVER HER HEART' is what surfaced of an intense 'different kind of prayer and spiritual battle' over my daughter's heart. Painting it was an intense intersession that reached the heavens like a perfume and came down with abundant blessings.
For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. 2 Cor 10:4
…and art is my weapon of warfare!

Finally! I have finally found a dedicated and professional group of people willing to encourage, promote and support God inspired art! It feels like I've come home!
Being an 'self taught' artist for all my life, I have been following art and it's evolution since I was young, to the point of attending and even participating in several international art shows and Art Basel events over the years. Only to find myself standing in front of their 'master pieces' and asking myself questions like 'what is this?', 'why are people 'worshiping' this trash?', 'did I come all the way here to see this array of phallic and degenerated 'art'?'. 'What am I doing here?', 'a God filled woman watching this?'.
My mind wondered 'where is my tribe'? Where are the God inspired artists? Where are the people who support and encourage them?
I thank God for Engage Art for I believe I have found and answer to some of my inner questions on 'really inspired art'.
