An anybody pouting about not being in a tropical paradise like Hawaii for Christmas, tried to make the best of his situation and location and have a Christmas In Hawaii, even if, mostly, imaginary. Making the best of the situation during the holidays, specifically the Christmas season.
Besides being a parody of the song “White Christmas”, this song is also inspired by an incident from my childhood where my mother brought up going to Hawaii for Christmas and then it didn’t happen. After pouting for a while and hearing lots of Christmas music, which made my disappointment grow, I decided to write a (hopefully humorous) song about the situation. Instead of just dwelling in disappointment and bitterness, I chose to find a way to move past the negativity and try to not just move past it but move past it in a fun way. I’d like to think the Lord helped me do this, gives me the ability to turn painful, unhappily experiences into fun, pleasant experiences. Change negative experiences into positive experiences. My mom even enjoys that she helped inspire me to write a fun song.

I’m dreaming of a White Christmas
But not the kind you’re thinking of
I want white, sandy beaches and blue, blue water
And gorgeous hula dancers in my sight
I want my Christmas in Hawaii
Just like my mother said we could
I want my Christmas in Hawaii
Just like my mother said we would
But it wasn’t meant to be
I’m dreaming of a White Christmas
With crashing waves and surfer girls
With a Christmas luau by the soothing water
And palm trees twinkling with lights
I want my Christmas in Hawaii
Just like my mother said we could
I want my Christmas In Hawaii
Just like my mother said we would
But she lied

I want my Christmas In Hawaii
Just like my mother said we could
I want my Christmas in Hawaii
Just like my mother said we would
I want my Christmas In Hawaii
