The Battle for Jerusalem, 150X150 cm
Mixed media on nine wooden panels 50X50cm each.
The artwork is based on the prophecy of Ezekiel.
Gog is the chief prince of the tribes of Meshech and Tubal in the land of Magog, who is called upon by G-d to conquer the land of Israel. With a great coalition of forces from throughout the world, Gog and his entire army will invade Israel “like a cloud covering the earth” (38:16) and will plunder and loot the cities. The final battle for Jerusalem is between Gog, the president of nations (yes, in Hebrew he's called "nasi", president), and King Messiah who will defeat him.
After the battle the mankind will experience revelation of the one and only G-d and will enter Messianic era.
The artwork itself is rather symbolic and depicts an idea of the spiritual battle between the people of G-d and their enemies. It's based on Ezekiel rather than on Ephesians. I also need to state that I'm Jewish and my artistic vision is heavily influenced by Jewish scriptures.
The painting is available for sale, please contact the artist.
