This artwork brought a lot out of me. I had to learn new skills in order to create some of the things shown in the artwork such as the fire, the earth, and the wings. My process involved me reading the verses allowed over and over so that I could come up with a way to visual represent them. I sketched everything out beforehand, but as I started, new little ideas always popped here and there which helped to help further that representation. I'm no stranger to artworks like this. Throughout all of highschool I have always used my talents to create pieces that highlight God and my relationship with Him.
This work fits into Ephesians 6:10-20 because of the very act I am doing in the artwork. I have myself praying with the bible in front of me because I want to showcase how the bible says to prepare and fight your battles. Our battles are not of flesh and blood, which means they take place in the spirit realm and involves spiritual weapons. Those weapons are prayer and the word of the Lord. With these weapons, I can stand my ground knowing the Lord will protect me from every attack of the enemy. The wings of the angel of the Lord, the sword above my head from the angel, the shield, the armor plates, and the presence of God around me represents that very protection. I included 1 Peter 5:8, 1 John 5:19, 2 Corinthians 10:3-5, Psalms 91:1-6, and John 10:10 to show how the devil has control of the world, and that as children of God we must use His mighty weapons to wage war, and how the Lord is our protector through it all. Elements used to visually represent these related verses include the devil as the roaring lion and controller of the world, the wings of the angel of the Lord, and the arrows that are shot in my direction.

This is an original piece done by me on Watercolor paper.
I do commissions here and there.
