Artist bio

I love to work in screen printing on paper and experimenting on fabrics as well. I'm highly influenced by old cartoons and the idea of us having different vices are the main subjects of my work. CMYK is something I also like to experiment with and manipulating photos into something surreal. Collage is something else I'm very interested in and use a lot in my work, whether its layering characters or photos on each other, theres always some play with it. Bold and clean lines are important and always intentional with limited color in my prints.

Artist Statement

I used CMYK process through screen printing on Yupo paper. The image is made of two different photographs; a gas station and a projector. I used some photo manipulation to create ambiguity of what is coming out of the sky above the tipped over gas station.

How it fits into contest

12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

I feel my work fits really well with this, its not physical evil or good, something the image can convey without showing the devil or heaven. The image has something emerging from the sky and I feel its powerful.
