This artwork represents a balance between my colour side and my black and grey side. This is a mixed media production, mediums include: pigment ink, graphite, prismacolor pencils, and gold markers.
This artwork visually represents a lot of key points in the Ephesians 6:10-20. Good and evil is represented in the angel wing on the right vs. the demon wing on the left. I also created a small battle above, with a swallow and a bat flying at each other. The spartan helmet represents the “helmet of salvation”. The chest armour represents the “breastplate of righteousness”. The armoured belt represents the “belt of truth”. The “shield of faith” is represented by the dotted lines and circles coming out of the blue orb. Which is protecting the spirit from the flaming arrows of the evil one. The sword “sword of the spirit” is piercing through the body (spirit) and into the rock. It doesn’t make sense how the statue is standing but to me this represents taking your stand, no matter how hard it is. Life is a constant war between and good and evil. But as long as we see good, we will fear no evil.
I’m a one man army and the pen is my sword.
