Artist bio

When I was a little boy, I saw a marble sculpture of a lion. He seemed to be alive and able to move. I didn't know how that could be accomplished, but I asked God to be a part of it. And now, I still don't know how, but I try All my work in sculpture has the intention of being a wake-up call and reflection, to be a better person and a better society

INNER STRUGGLE

The Inner Struggle is always present in every human being.  Since we are small children, the choice arises:

Either I obey my mother, or I continue playing. People tell me: don't eat more sweets, but I want to eat more.

The Inner Struggle is represented in these two characters, who are my self.  Each one intensely wishes to advance in the opposite direction. Still, their napes are fused, their legs and arms intertwine and merge.  Yes, I know that I must do my homework, but I want to continue playing.  Yes, I know my wife is right, but I'm not giving in because I think I may lose authority.  I have been told that I must be honest, but I am distressed not to have an estate.

However, in the sculpture, Inner Struggle, something catches our attention: while the legs are tangled and confused with each other, and the arms on one side, they are intertwined in direct opposition, pulling in the opposite direction, on the other side they intertwine but in such a way that the fingertips of both hands touch and seem to flirt.  How? What happens?  Is this not a struggle?  Why the flirting? ... Could it be that ..., I don't want to get out of the vicious circle and find the right pretexts?  Yes, I do, but ... You can't.  I know what is correct, but ...

Or ... will it be possible? That flirting alerts me, hints at me, is it possible to reconcile opposites?  Is it possible to make a constructive decision, for me and society, instead of being in a vicious circle?

Here is the importance of understanding to always be accompanied by these readings: Ephesians 6: 10-20

The water that slides and bathes the entire surface of the base, flowing permanently, represents our subconscious.

I want to make this sculpture at least 2.50 meters high.

All my work in sculpture has the intention of being a wake-up call and reflection, to be a better person and a better society
