This is my fifth digital artwork and it was really fun to do. I'm a charcoal artist so it's a big transition for me, learning how to paint digitally takes time and practice. I was learning a new software, hand eye co-ordination with a graphics tablet and watching tutorials how to digitally paint at the same time while trying to figure out how to bring this artwork to life. I've learnt so much over this short period of time. I was made of aware of competition recently and started working on it in March. The process I used was drawing in black and white and then painting color on top.
I believe a picture is worth a thousand words and when I read that passage this image came to mind. I believe it captures the very essence of what is said from verses 10-18 of Ephesians, we are to be strong in the Lord and the power of his might and the white outline on the warrior depicts believers being invincible in the power of the Lord, He is outfitted in the Armour of God as instructed in the Word as this should always be the dress code the believer. The image of the enemy represents principalities, powers, rulers of darkness, and spiritual wickedness in high places because we don't wrestle against flesh and blood. The sword of the Spirit which is the word of God is shown using the words "It is written" as we saw when the devil tempted Jesus in the wilderness and this is the weapon of choice. 2 Cor. 10:3-5 For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. 4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of this world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. It is written also helps to bring awareness to the war being waged for our souls but we have the confidence in knowing that for every situation, condition or circumstance there is a "it is written" in scripture that can combat every device of the enemy.
All honor and praise to the Lord Jesus Christ who has given me the health, and strength to complete this project. I am very appreciative for the availability of the hardware and software used in bringing my thought into reality. Special thanks to my wife Alcian Williams- James who aided in critiquing and provided moral support for this project. In closing, a big thank you to the creators for allowing myself an others a platform to display our talents while ministering to ourselves and others.
This is an original peace that was designed for the competition. If persons are interested in purchasing this peace please send me an email firstname.lastname@example.org.
I do portraits most of the time. Charcoal drawings and I'm moving into digital painting and animation at the moment.
